Breaking Out of the Frame

I got in an interesting discussion a few weeks ago about the concept of projecting words onto a screen during worship. For years now the American church has been relying on simple words projected with a background of solid color, an image, or a video. Have you ever stopped to think about why we follow this convention? Ask yourself a few questions:

Why do we project onto screens and not walls? Why do we project on the inside of a building and not the outside? Why do we project information and words instead of simple evocative images?

Cameron Ware of Visual Worshipper questioned those conventions. He is a projection artist that uses projectors in all sorts of unimaginable ways. Take a look at some of his work his website.
